SAINTS started in December 2004 after volunteers at other animal shelters saw many senior animals spending their last days in a shelter or pound. From opening, the number of animals in need has been astounding and ever-growing. The first SAINTS location started with 16 cats, 12 dogs and 2 rabbits. SAINTS now has a permanent warm & cozy home on 3 beautiful acres in Mission, BC complete with a sturdy and well constructed barn and several outbuildings just waiting to be renovated for future use! Resident animals also enjoy fields to play in and a pond to swim in... a little bit of heaven on earth for each SAINT.
Since December 2004, SAINTS has had over 410 animals come in through it's doors. Over 130 have been adopted into wonderful loving homes. 156 have passed away in loving care at SAINTS and the remaining 121 still call SAINTS their home.
SAINTS Rescue has pledged to love & care for animals so they will never be alone again.
Pet Food 'N More proudly supports SAINTS by donating food & supplies. Product donations can be dropped off at our Maple Ridge location during regular business hours.
Pet Food 'N More recently donated over 2000lbs (more than $1400), of Wild Bird Food to the Reifel Bird Sanctuary!
The Reifel Bird Sanctuary is situated on Westham Island, just west of the community of Ladner in the Delta, BC. It consists of nearly 300 hectares (850 acres) of managed wetlands, natural marshes and low dikes in the heart of the Fraser River Estuary.
For the millions of birds seeking feeding and resting areas during their annual migrations along the Pacific Coast, the Sanctuary is ideally located. It is a place where wildlife and their habitats are protected from harm, and it lies next to miles of flat marshland and the farmland of Westham Island.
As a company Pet Food 'N More recognizes this sanctuary is an essential part of the Lower Mainland.
