Dog Parks

Kanaka Creek Regional Park

This park is located off of Dewdney Trunk Road, at the end of 252 Street. At the entrance is Cliff Park, which has a playground and a baseball field, named for Cliff Falls, which is in the main park. The park requires all dogs to be on leashes.

There are two highlights of the park, one of which (obviously) is the falls. The other is an almost 2 km trail to the fish hatchery.

Cliff Falls are very pretty and only a short trek of 300 m from the parking lot. The falls can be seen from two bridges, as they branch around an open picnic area. It may be tempting to try to go down to the falls, but signs warn that it's quite dangerous, so take all of your pictures from the fenced trail or from the bridges.

The picnic area between the two bridges has a huge fire pit that is perfect for big family gatherings. During the week it seems pretty empty, even in summer, so it's a great family getaway for lunch. The trails are well-kept and well-marked, making it very easy to navigate your way through the park.
